The Dallas Stars Scoreboard Blanket
As the ’23-’24 NHL season unfolded, I crocheted a blanket that tracked the wins, losses, and overtime outcomes of my favorite team, the Dallas Stars. With the help of great friends, an amazing online community, and a fantastic social media team with the Stars organization, the blanket project blew up. It garnered hundreds of thousands of impressions over several progress updates. It inspired hundreds of similar blankets covering every team in the league (and some for the PWHL, NBA, MLB, NFL, and college teams, too!) I was interviewed by Dallas Stars social team and the local Dallas news. I built a lasting community of friends and fans, and it’s how I met my partner!
